The swimming beach alongside
And the local corner cafe….
Samuel’s Creek winery : handsome garden, welcome facilities, extravagant sedum, cellar door staffed by Caitlin Davies, and family picnics out of the hot sun:
all on the edge of the Onkaparinga River national park
a series of ‘egg’ ceramic fermenters at Yarranga
And a file of wine tasters at Shaw & Smith – and crowds of agapanthus
A variety of verandas – Shaw & Smith (21st century) and Seppelstfield (19th century)
Finally, the geological map of McLaren Vale – older than 500 million years…
This is response to all blogs so far which we are enjoying hugely. Your photography of everything ( plants -people – views – architecture ) is brilliant – what fabulous light & sun ! & everything looks pristine. I love the historical vignettes of early Australians – so recent too.
Go well in New Zealand ! Love Jill & Peter x
